A field harvest witnessed by experts and growers

On 23 October 2026, Jiaqi organized an on-site combine-harvest yield assessment in Shangkaichai Village, Xiangride Town, Dulan County, Qinghai, China. Agricultural experts and more than 40 large-scale quinoa growers witnessed the assessment during the local farmers’ harvest festival.

6.843 tonnes per hectare at 13% moisture

The measured plot covered 2.1 mu, equivalent to 0.14 hectares. Raw grain yield reached 515.2 kilograms per mu. After cleaning and adjustment to 13% moisture, yield was 456.2 kilograms per mu, equivalent to 6843 kilograms, or 6.843 tonnes, per hectare.

The raw-grain figure and the cleaned, moisture-adjusted figure represent different measurement bases. The hectare conversion uses 15 mu per hectare.

Traits that support harvest performance

Variety Jiaqi200 combines lodging resistance with a plant height of around 1.5 metres. Key traits include large, white grains, high seed set and good dry-down after maturity, supporting mechanized harvesting and subsequent handling.

Good seed and locally adapted management

Appropriate planting density, water and nutrient management, and timely harvesting help turn varietal potential into actual production. These results reflect the conditions of this field assessment and provide a reference for further observation and cultivation practice.
